The space was perfect for two people. It was clean and comfortable. The location was great for walking to restaurants and to the beach.
I really like this place. It was very comfortable
Quite nice. I enjoyed it. Only small complaints. The floors were sandy upon arrival. I had to vacuum them. Also the TV remotes were confusing. There were two and neither matched the photo instructions in the guest manual.
I didn’t expect much but it was definitely a let down. There was a bunch of faulty/janky and unexpected things that weren’t evident in the pictures or in the description. First, the place is much smaller than it looks in pictures or described in square footage. Second, the place wasn’t very clean when we got there. There was sand on the floor, the shower doors were grimy, and some of the dishes and glassware weren’t clean. Third, the A/C unit is over by the sliding glass door so it doesn’t get cool in the bedroom even if you have the fans trying to blow the air in there, thusly I ended up spending every night sweating my a** off. Next, there were multiple outlets and lights that didn’t work. One of the closest doors was broken and just left in the closet. The curtains were old and janky making it difficult to open and close them along with falling apart. Also, in the bedroom there wasn’t much privacy so I could hear every little noise that walked by our room.
Mani was a wonderful guest. We hope they come back next year for another memorable vacation!
We loved our stay here! It’s an amazing location right across the street from Kam 2 beach. Just walk across the street stick your face in the water by the rocks and enjoy some great snorkeling with lots of colorful fish and sea turtles. The unit was very clean, however, it is showing that it has been well loved over the years. I thought the bed was too soft, my wife thought it was perfect. I’m a big guy with atouchy back, however, and my back did not hurt the entire time we stayed there. We don’t use air-conditioning when we’re in Hawaii. We’re there for the warmth! One reviewer had said the bedroom got too hot even with the air conditioner. We only used open windows and I did find that back bedroom a bit warm at night, but my wife thought it was perfect. The view from the lanai is wonderful, the two swimming pools are a bit small but perfect for a refreshing dip after the ocean, and the location to restaurants is great. We would totally stay here again in a heartbeat!

When we arrived basic amenities were missing or worn out. They arrived with new chairs, and pots and pans quickly.
Nice little condo. The ocean view was great. It was clean when we arrived. Obviously being an older building and by the ocean it’s going to have its quirks but I expect that. I would suggest floor mats at the main entrance and one right at the sliding door to the lanai and one in the bathroom. The electrical could use some love. Some switches didn’t work or made lights flicker. Overall it was a nice condo for the money.
Furniture seemed dirty and old. Suite seemed outdated and not upgraded like others when comparing. That being said it suited our needs fine, fabulous location and super quiet building. Would stay at Kīhei Akahi again and recommend to others.
