The condo had the most gorgeous view of the ocean and we thoroughly enjoyed the whales and sunsets. Beautiful views.
This condo has little issues. Plugs don’t work, furniture old and dirty, condo was not cleaned good, TV in king room had too short of extension cord to work, can opener broken, lamp shades stained and coming apart, etc. The view was great but please realize it is up against public park. Also beach is rocky and shallow. Otherwise our stay was ok.
Hot water turned off in kitchen-couldn’t use dishwasher. Check in too late, check out too early. Bedroom lanai won’t open. Pillows no good. Drawers fall out of dresser.
Found it clean and well stocked. Appreciate beach chairs. Tub needs grab bar at foot. Master shower head needs upgrade.

Great place to stay, nice location just north of the busier area of Kihei. Condo was totally stocked with everything we needed minus food. Only thing negative thing I would say is the place could use a deeper cleaning and some attention to the sliding doors.
We were happy with this place. It was big, clean, and had a great view from all windows. No noise from the street and parking, which was a big plus. We saw turtles and seals on the beach next to the apartment which was pretty cool. Great location with easy access to all parts of Maui.
Kauhale Makai 5th floor had the best ocean views. Many whale sightings! The fact that both bedrooms had ocean views was a treat!
The toilet paper, and toiletries “rule” is not the norm, especially considering the price point. The “808” contact number did seem ready to replenish, had the previous visitor not left shampoo, body soap.
It was just a bit too far to be walkable to most stores and restaurants with the exception of one very tasty restaurant (Monsoon Indian Grill?).
In the master bedroom, there was the constant hum of an exhaust fan, which we were never able to turn off but a pair of earplugs took care of that. The building was pretty quiet. Nice pool, loungers, hot tub. Friendly and helpful front desk. Depending on your unit, pickle ball plunking could be heard in the distance while on both patios. Good beach. Snorkeling in the protective pond was safe and saw many fish, very walkable. The kitchen, was well stocked and easy to reach from counter to counter. Good memories!

Tubs and showers were a bit dirty. I had to scrub them out before we used them. Yuck. Otherwise it was beachfront with beautiful views and nice pool area. Nice grounds right on beach in nice area of Kihei. Quiet at night and early morning. Kitchen and bathrooms are definitely dated. Unit doesn’t have laundry which would be a deal breaker for me for long stays. Also it only kind of has air conditioning. Its a very old system. The time we were there was ok for temperature but in hotter months it might have been unbearable. Overall more pros then cons.

Beautiful view!
The condo needs updating, new paint, new mattress in master. Vents needs to be cleaned and showers updated. There was trash in the garage can, stains on all the walls, paint peeling in places. The sheets will not stay on the mattress in master and the bed is uncomfortable, big dip when you lay down and the sheets pop off.

Place was clean and exactly as the listing stated
This rental was great. Beautiful view of the ocean over the park, and balconies in master & living rooms (though only the balcony off the living room has furniture). The unit is in good shape. A lot of reviews mention the master bed mattress — we didn’t notice springs, it’s just a very soft pillow top, but slept fine. The kitchen is fully equipped as far as utensils, pans, knives, dishes. The property is well maintained, and the pool and hot tub and grills are in great shape. The beach is narrow here, lots of great coral treasures washed up on it.
The management company sends a universal disclaimer that their properties may not include things like blankets / beach towels / beach gear. I emailed to clarify, & they narrowed in to what was actually available at this unit — do the same if the list of items worries you. (When we stayed, the unit did include Tommy Bahama beach chairs, a beach umbrella, some beach toys for kids, a couple boogie boards, big and small cooler, etc.)

I love the property. It was a perfect view and had nice grounds for family gatherings. Nice BBQs with tables by the pool area. They have shuffle board and a putting green. There are several beaches close by and Safeway and Foodland are just down the ride. Our family had a few different condos, and the two buildings are close enough together to walk back and forth to each others rooms, and easy to meet up in the middle. We had a wonderful time. The only thing was there were only 2 beach towels. Everywhere I’ve ever stayed at the beach has always had an abundance of beach towels. They take awhile to dry, so it’s nice to have a few extras. We would shay there again.
Fantastic ocean view, large unit with all you need for a week stay. Away from the busiest area of Kihei and quiet. Condo is clean but could use a little TLC – master bath door doesn’t close, all sliding doors are challenging, master AC didn’t work but provided fans made it bearable. On-site and off-site management kind and helpful. Called and reported the AC issue and maintenance checked right away.
This vrbo was perfect for us! The views were incredible from every room. We watched whales everyday from lying in bed to the living area. The kitchen was well stocked and the extra bedding and blankets were great. We loved the location. We rented a car and restaurants and beaches were close. There were beach chairs, coolers, goggles, beach towels… so many things to help enjoy our stay. From checking in to leaving was very easy. We will check to see if this is available when we get to go back to Maui. Mahalo to the hosts! This was our favorite!

Negative: Slider doors can rattle with the wind which can be a little disruptive. Web pictures shows what appears to be a Kuerig Machine on the kitchen counter so brought K-cups with us only only to find no Kuerig machine, but bought coffee and made do.
I would stay here again. It was a great place and the view from each room is gorgeous. The couch is super comfortable. I had an amazing nights rest in the Master bed, once I climbed up in it.. its very high. Second room bed very comfortable Overall very spacious, cute decorations and amazing view from each roomA combination of updates and really dated. Beautiful countertops on old cabinets, gold and mirror closest doors gives the impression the unit has not been updated Notes about Maui electric but ac that looks original to building. The bathroom sliding doors swing when you pull them. Second room bathroom door doesn’t fully closeThe master floorplan is crazy and needs a full remodel to make better uses of space. There are light switches everywhere that do nothing. The dimmer switches in kitchen dining area are super confusing
