Pros: if you like life around you like us, this is the place. Always people around, see surfers in the ocean. Food trucks right around the corner was a gem. Kids loved the play area right across the street in the park.
Has AC, elevators, free parking, pool, little stores down stairs – all we needed.
Cons: if you like it quiet, not the place for you. Traffic starts at 5:30 am. But the windows block the noise quite well.
The sofa bed is horrible. The king bed is ok. Very basic furniture, cheapest uncomfortable patio furniture, lamps make this place look old.
Kitchen had few mugs, bowls we had to hand wash everyday as not enough for the dishwasher.
Wish they had some basic things like hand soap, shampoo, lotion, body wash like a lot of other airbnb.
Our last airbnb had shelves full of basic spices, butter, pancake syrup that people might have left before they left. But this place, nothing except salt: pepper/ oil. You have to either pack or buy and throw everything before you leave.
We love the island surf condo and this unit is such a great example of why this location is the best spot in Kihei.
The double lanai was the best part!

Had a great time in Kihei and this apartment is located in the best possible location with a wonderful view. We unfortunately were there during some construction but Sara with Maui Rentals really took care of us and made sure we were taken care of due to the disruption. We would book there again!

Steps away from beach and shops!!!
I was impressed with the unit. The location was beautiful and close to the sea. Lots of amenities in the unit and the air conditioning/fans were very helpful. one suggestion is to fix the curtains in the bedroom to make sure that the light doesn’t enter.
HOWEVER, communication with AirBnB was terrible. They didn’t know how to fix the issue of no parking pass in the room or EVEN IF it was really necessary (despite the book saying it was but no enforcement of it in the parking lot after 4 days – with no certainty though!). The national office sent meaningless communications with no real content (lots of blather-no real info) and the local office wasn’t any better. I asked for specific directions on how to get to the unit in advance (several times) and there was no useful response – a google map didn’t help. The directions on which unit were also useless and finally, no follow-up despite a promise to do so. Really terrible. Summary: very nice unit but terrible comunication

Great condo is the perfect location. The manager was great and absolutely no complaints. Excellent stay.
Loved the convenience of the local market down stairs and SOUTH MAUI GARDENS food trucks and Da Green coffee. The Park ocean view is great too! Our son owns a few food trucks and plays hockey at the park rink!

We love the Island Surf and have vacationed here many times. Over about 30 years of traveling to Maui, this condo has stunning views and a fully equipped, beautiful kitchen. New sliding glass doors assure sun and sound control. The king-size bed is very comfortable. Recliners with ottomans were our favorite as we have similar chairs at home. Walking distance to Foodland, Paia Fish Co., and shopping. A short drive to Wailea. The Island Surf, in the heart of Kihei, is a plus: unobstructed ocean views and the best sunsets. We will stay here again. The host was only a text away. Photos taken from the lanai.
Amazing location, would book again! The ants in tb kitchen were annoying and we barely ate at home. This would be my only complaint but I’d still stay again.
