My husband & I stayed here for a week in Oct 2025. We had an amazing time, yes the bathroom is a little tight but nothing we couldn’t handle. We did have ocean breezes with the doors open(we are used to ac) & it was managable. The balcony was great for our morning coffee & sunrises. We have enjoyed this place so much we already booked our 2nd stay for 2026

One of the most beautiful and serene places I have ever stayed in. Perfect if you want to be right on the ocean. The kitchen and bathroom is very well equipped and there’s extra fans. The host was super friendly and responsive, always tried their best to help.

The place was nice and right next to the water. You can hear the ocean very well at night.
Location is nice to explore the island because nothing is too far away if you want to go north or south.
We could walk to many restaurants and shops and it’s a short drive to many more.
Had a small hiccup upon arrival that was fixed very quickly so we appreciated the responsiveness.

We loved this condo. The moment we walked in, we were amazed at the view of the water. This place truly is oceanfront. The unit is bright and airy, with windows on two sides. Don’t be concerned about the lack of AC- you don’t need it here. It never gets too hot, the trade winds keep things nice and cool.
The complex is relatively small, with a nice private pool and coin laundry facilities. I loved the intimate nature of the setting. No loud bars or restaurants, and a beautiful little beach right in front. Walking distance to Coconut Marketplace. We really enjoyed having beach chairs at the rental too.
A few items that could use a bit of tightening up: the communication was a bit unclear. The directions were incorrect but thankfully we knew the area and could find the complex. We did not receive the pool code so had to ask and then wait for that. One of the wall outlets was missing a face plate which seemed unsafe (this is a fast, $10 fix).

Our stay at the Kapaa Sands was wonderful. We had an ocean front condo and had our patio looking out over the ocean. Such a serene setting, within walking distance to get a meal and a quick drive to lots of beautiful places to explore. We would highly recommend this place for anyone needing somewhere with beautiful views of the ocean!

This place steal our hearts! we wake up every morning with a beautiful view of the sunrise. Just next to the ocean so we slept with the sound of the waves and the wind. It really exceed our expectations! Easy to get to the place and very easy check in. It had everything we needed for our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in #9. The view and closeness to the ocean are incredible. The full kitchen was important to us as we were able to make breakfast and a few dinners. Why sit in a restaurant when we already have this view?!
The small cooler and ice packs allowed us to pick up poke and eat it wherever we landed. Beach chairs too!
Only small negative… bathroom is tiny. We managed just fine.
We would absolutely choose to stay here again.

Our studio apartment in Kapa’a Sands more than exceeded our expectations-everything was as pictured &described, except pictures just couldn’t do it justice! The view is gorgeous & always front and center. The shoreline(right out the door & down the stairs) is so unique-an extended tide pool, flanked by huge driftwood logs & lush foliage. The apartment itself was very comfortable (ie,the bed); the kitchen fully equipped (lots of dishes). This small bungalow complex, with its pool &laundry room, has a lush tropical garden setting , is very quiet &private. Located within walking distance is a small shopping center, where we enjoyed eating & souvenir shopping; a short drive away are groceries &sundries. It’s also a great location for reaching Lihue &all the coastline attractions of the island. Chasing Rainbows was topnotch in communications: very responsive & considerate in all our messaging. Kapa’a Sands made our vacation; we would love to stay there again!

This place is a gem! It was just what my husband and I needed, a beautiful space right on the water with privacy and a homey feeling. The amenities and items available were on point, even if we stayed briefly and didnʻt use them all, as a owner of rental properties myself, I know they went above and beyond. Everything was in good repair and easy to find/ use.
